I usually am, but some people are really good at hiding their true nature. I'm an attorney and I have to be good an sizing up people, particularly new clients.
Someone in my office recently took a phone call "scientific" company that didn't get paid for selling water pipes to a "seedless clothing" company and the debt was $10,000. They were "concerned" about faxing me a copy of the invoice. Translating that to plain English, a smoke shop didn't pay for some bongs it had ordered. I suppose it should go without saying that I declined to take the case.

I like to think so. I'm very selective about people relying mostly on the feeling I get from them when I first meet them. Instinct is a reliable factor in judging character I've found.

I consider "arizonaprincess9" to be a *good* judge of character (see above): I too judge everyone to be a good person and suspect they are given the chance because it takes so much less effort

Yes I believe I am. 90% of the times I fall within the original opinion I formulated for a person. But if you want to see if someone is good or trustworthy do this. If you 're meeting someone for the first time and you shake hands and you notice that his/her handshake is kind of loose, then I guess that person is not entirely trustworthy. But if the handshake is firm you're cool. Another way is to notice facial expressions and hand movement during the time of the meeting.

No. I actually always become great friends with those I first think I'll have nothing in common with, and won't ever have any kind of relationship with, and vice versa - the ones I start out talking with are the ones I end up having nothing in common with, or even dislike.
Weird.

Yes I am. I mean I have been wrong in the past, but I can generally trust the first impression I have of people I meet.

Yes..if they are in person. I am really good at ready body language and reading a persons eyes. I can tell instantly if they are trouble or if I would get along with them.
