Kinda embarassinh thing to ask but i suffer quite bad from this even whens its cold, and it is a nightmare at work with shirts and things. Also makes me feel very worried about if any odour might start to appear during the day. I bathe every night to help prevent but no type of underarm sprays or roll-ons seem to work. Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Hyperhidrosis, also known as polyhidrosis or sudorrhea means excessive sweating; sweating too much
The most active regions of perspiration include the hands, feet, armpits and the groin area because of a relatively high concentration of sweat glands in those areas.
There are two types of hyperhidrosis. Primary focal hyperhidrosis refers to overactive sweat glands that affect certain areas of the body, such as the hands, feet, face or underarms.
This form of hyperhidrosis can't be prevented and isn't contagious because it was probably inherited (although the condition may skip a generation). Secondary generalized hyperhidrosis is total body
sweating prompted by secondary medical conditions or medications.

You can get a prescription from your doctor, it is called "Drysol" and you use it for 1 week everyday and then you only use it 2 times a week after that - it is VERY effective, closes off some of your sweat glands, so not good to use all the time! Works for feet too! Our Grandparents used this before they had deoderents on the market!

Ashamed to admit, but it happens to me too. There's this deoderant that blocks the sweat glands (I think it's called Dricol or something, it's in a white box with blue stripes on it) and it costs about a fiver in the chemist. Or just go to your GP (which is something I should do pretty soon). I know it might be hard or embrassing but I'm sure the GP's heard much worse. Good luck xx

yes, i know someone with the same problem, if you go to your doctor and tell them about this problem they will prescribe you with a deodrant that you apply every other night that stops you sweating completely under your arms, you can also use on your hands and feet! no need for deodrant any more. its really brillant stuff i used it for my wedding day! one sort you can get is called Driclor or another Amenahyl Forte (there might be spelling mistakes with the names there!) but also i noticed that they are doing a similar thing in tesco at the moment where you use it every other night.

I had the same problem and went to the doctor and he gave me a role-on called "Aluminum Chloride". You role it on at night and in the morning shower it off. Note: It does burn and itch a little tell you get used to it. I only had to use it a few months and now I don't sweat at all under my arms. See your doctor and give this a try. Good Luck.

Botox! Believe it or not you can have it done on your underarms to stop sweat glands.

You can get the service from cosmetic companies such as Transform, Harley Medical Group and many other depending on where in the country you live.

i used to have this problem and shaving my armpits helped, but its mostly about finding the right deoderant for you. i find that the spray deoderants are terrible at preventing sweat. i found right guard gels to a great job, i still shave from time to time. no need for a razor, just use hair clippers.

Shave your arms underneath, use a persperant deodorant, then polish it off with a little baby powder. The baby powder will dry it up. xxx
