I am looking for somewhere pretty central. Must be clean! I have been to Brighton five times previously and am yet to find a really decent place to stay. They look great on the web but when you get there, they are not so hot!

Depends what your budget is , if you only want to pay £25-30 you aint gonna get 5* are you ! Have a walk around St James's street and the lower end of kemp town and go into a few smaller hotels and put a wad of cash under their nose. Try and do a deal for the time you are there!

don't do it!!! I live near brighton and have stayed in town loads - always very disapointing - better off trying to get a last minute deal at the grand hotel- sometimes £26/night
