Little box with a red "x" in a web page. How to open it?

When I open a web page I see a large white blank portion with a little box with a red "x" in it. I assume there is something to see. How do I open it up? I click it and nothing happens. Thanks.

it represents an image that your pc doesnt have the program to open.

Yeah there is something there, sometimes pages make mistakes especially if they're rushed open. Right click on the x and click "show picture" that should show it, if not then it's something the person that made the page needs to fix. Might be a messed up code or the account that hosts the picture expired orsomething. Hope that helps!
