Vancouver BC. Honolulu is a little far but air fares are cheaper this time of year. BTW, California itself is nice. You can't go wrong with San Francisco or LA.

How about, Las Vegas with mountain and night time views. Or Phoenix or Tucson. Perhaps you like Santa Fe or Seattle or Portland? The best view I can think of is in Ca, at Lake Tahoe.

Try Hawaii! Aloha airlines is now having a sale for $99 each way! You can go to Hawaii for $200 R/T!
At this rate, you can explore on a long weekend and not feel as if it's too costly to go!

Try Maui or Kauai for lots of fun.
