I agree that race is a HUGE issue in society. However, I'm sure there are many black people who are well qualified to be president. I'm sure it will happen one day - I don't know when but one day.

One day soon, ability will determine a person's qualification to be president. In 2002 and 2006, we showed the world that even an idiot can be president. The events which characterized the presidency since electing that idiot have proved to the American people that 1) They better cast their votes and not sit home and 2) They better vote for brains and substance...and not vote based on who has the most money, who has a penis, and who is white.
Hey YANKS...are you getting it yet??

Are most people in this country ready for that? Judging by all the racial chatter on the Internet and the existence of people who rewrite history and also swear that the "white race" is becoming extinct, sometimes I don't think so. But Obama will certainly not be the last "non white" President. Race doesn't even matter as far as qualifications go.

Are you kidding me! Why would we as a nation vote for a black President just to watch him being assassinated on the 6 o'clock news? I believe a strong black leader is more valuable to the nation alive than he could ever be as a dead man!

Maybe one day but not any time soon. I believe that Hilary Clinton has a better chance than Obama. I think it's not only because of all she's done but because America is still not that accepting of blacks

I agree, color, race, religion, preferences, etc. are still a problem in the world. If we stop headlining about the color, like you, it will get better slowly.

It is possible. I doubt it will happen in my lifetime, but people may be more rational/intelligent in the future. They may not care about race as long as the ability, talent, and intellect is there. Currently, I question whether people even care about intellect, but that's just me.
