Can the Sims Unleashed, Makin' Magic, and Vacation all be expansion packs on the Sims 2?

Question

I have the Sims 2.. and all of the expansion packs (already listed) but can those expansion packs work on the Sims 2, or do I need the original Sims or Deluxe Edition to play them. I have the Deluxe Edition.. but the only one that I can get to work is the Sims 2. I tried to install the the Sims Unleashed but once the game starts working it just stops and takes me back to my desktop. Please help!

you have to buy the sims 1 to play those expansion packs only the sims 2 expansion packs work with the sims 2 and the sims 1 expansion packs only work with the sims 1

None of those Expansions works with Sims2

THe only Expansions that the Sims2 have is Pets, Open Business, NIghtlife, and University.

You do need the original Sims to play those expansions (Unleashed, Magic, etc...) But you do not need the Deluxe to play them. It just has a few more items to it.

Since the Sims and Sims 2 games are separate games, and Sims 2 has features and graphics different from the original, I'm pretty sure that you need the original.
