buying my weekly groceries and I put 3 gallons of white milk into my cart, like every week. This little boy (black) told his mother he thought I was being raciest! I looked into they're cart and they had 2 gallons of chocolate milk. Geeze, I cook with regular milk, not chocolate!! But I was called "racist" for buying my milk by this little boy!!!! I am being serious, this really happened, so what do you think?

I said a little boy, but I'd say he was about 10 or 11 years old.

Sounds like his parents are racist and he has been hearing them talk about it.It's sad that kids hear these things and grow up feeling the same way.

Children learn what their parents teach them...
They are immature so their observations are not always correct, but you gotta know from that, that the parents are probably somewhat racially biased, and believe in black superiority.
I however do not consider that to be racist because MOST people believe in their own race as being the dominant or superior one. Black people however... were not allowed that privilege until the late 50's.
Considering... I would call it a given and let it go chalk it up to an innocent speaking his mind at his intellectual level of understanding which usually changes in college.

I would let it go ... It doesn't matter what kind of milk you buy and the little one has listened to enough of the tales that he doees not fully understand. Its not really worth it. If you bought one chocolate and two white would it make a difference.
After all its only milk and its not worth getting all irritated about it
Go your own way and have a great day
Racism is all over the world now. If that includes milk we are really in a huge mess .
remember you will never be able to please everyone.
Be happy and content in whom you are .

All stems from the parents what there taught and that is probably blacks are supposedly have it in there minds that whites look at them as inferior. I bet you anything that the boys parents probably laughed what he said about the milk and didnt even step in to tell him not to tlak like that right????

Things adults might use in jest may sometimes be misunderstood by children. Of course you are not a racist. White milk is better for you anyway.

Kids say the darnedest things! I think I would have laughed!
It is to bad though that he can distinguish what racism is at such a young age! We need to teach our children differently so that history doesn't keep repeating itself. There is no reason anyone should be racist anymore.

I think he's just a 11 year old boy who doesn't really understand what he is saying. I think he just figured brown coloured people buy brown coloured milk, and white coloured people buy white coloured milk.
Rather childish I would say. Don't give it a second thought. He's obviously a very young and immature boy.

He's a child, he doesn't know any better. He should have been reprimanded by his mother though, and that tells me that they probably encourage him to recognize racism in very small occurrences like that. Pretty sad, really.
