I'm not criticising, I just wasn't born with the sports gene and I have a hard time understanding the fanaticism about football, baseball, etc.... especially football though....

Why do we dump millions into prof. athlete's pockets? Couldn't we better spend that money on disease research or something. Why do/did we allow such salaries to swell to such huge numbers? Why are so many people addicted? Why do people trash their own cities when a team wins the Superbowl?

Maybe it's just me but with the salaries they get it is just business. It is no longer a sport. Any of them. It would like you and me betting on General Motors and Ford to see which one will sell the most cars in a six month period..Think about it.!!!!We could sit around the TV and drink beer, eat ribs, holler, scream, at the TV when the quarterly sales figures come in..I don't know what they will have at half time.( every three months ) but I'll bet it will be better than the Dallas Cheerleaders..!!

Indianapolis will not be destroying their own city after they win the Superbowl.. I can assure of this.. Chicago, I'm not so sure.. It's all about mentality and how you live your life..
