You're absolutely right, religion and health practice should be in two separate categories.
Most of anti-abortionist assume everyone is following Christian believes and impose their idea on others. That type of people, are the ones I dread to meet in church. Instead of using facts and proves, they judge and assume that everyone should see their view.
They have to realize that people will not blindly follow rules, and although the rules in bible still applies to morality, it's only meant for the people at the time bible was written. Society is evolving and so should those people's view!

Well, in my oppinion there are so many different types of birth control available there is no need for abortion.
As far as people bringing religion into the picture, thats wrong
!! If they want to preach something they should be preaching birth control if they want the abortion to stop. The only time abortion should be legal is when the Baby or mothers life is in danger, rape, or incest/molestation takes place.
Religion has nothing to do with it-- religion never got anybody pregnant!! except Mary (if you really believe that. all one needs to do is study the science of conception to understand that one; not that I'm a genius or anything--I'm just saying check it out)

Ok, how about this for leaving God out of it. FACT: Abortions cause the demise of human tissue with a heartbeat and brain function. FACT: Many women experience depression and guilt after having abortions performed. FACT: Less than 1% of abortions in the US have anything to do with incest or rape. FACT: There are new birth control methods being introduced every year that if used correctly will prevent pregnancy and the need for abortion.
Is that fact enough for you? God bless and have a great day(sorry being saved means you don't leave God out of ANYTHING. Read your Bible.)

there are no "facts" about the procedure that lend themselves to debate. It is what it is. The debate is a moral one, which necessarily must involve religious beliefs.

1) An unborn baby is alive based on the accepted scientific definition that Living organisms are made up of one or more cells, can grow and develop, reproduce, respond to stimuli, and have a metabolism. Unborn female babies have ALL of their ova (reproductive eggs) that they will ever have IN THEIR LIFETIMES. They respond to touch, sound, light, and other stimuli. They are obviously made up of one or more cells. They grow and develop constantly while in the womb. They have a metabolism that works by using the nutrients supplied through the umbilical cord, since they are unable to eat or drink in the womb.
2) Since it is a living organism, it must belong to one of any of the thousands of species having been identified to date, which is obviously Homo sapiens (human being).
3) An unborn baby is NOT a part of the mother’s body. He or she is a completely separate entity, with his or her own unique set of DNA, blood type, and gender. He or she just happens to reside inside of the mother for a short period at the beginning of his or her life. This does not in any way detract from his or her status as a living human being, just as a BORN person who may be living in a cardboard box has no bearing on whether he or she is a Human Being and is allowed to be murdered.
4) Since the unborn baby is a living human being, to kill him or her is murder, which is defined as: MURDER - noun - The killing of another human being outside of self-defense. In the U.S., special statutory definitions include murder committed with malice aforethought, characterized by deliberation or premeditation or occurring during the commission of another serious crime, as robbery or arson (first-degree murder), and murder by intent but without deliberation or premeditation (second-degree murder).
You know, the Nazis justified the “extermination” of Jews by dehumanizing them and calling them “vermin”; American slaveowners justified the enslavement of African peoples by dehumanizing them and decreeing that they were only 3/5ths of a person. Those things were all legal at one time, and I think that we can all agree that they were morally wrong, whether legal or not. Abortion will one day be illegal again, freeing unborn babies AND women from the death sentence that is abortion.

That may be a good idea,..........unless God is real and He really does not like the wide-spread killing of babes in the womb??
