Pitcher. You get the same money for performing every fifth day, and you can have a good game without people demanding you pee in a cup.

I'm a hitter, but i do respect the pitchers...Pitchers can control the outcome of a game depending on the talent they have...the bad side to that is they only pitch one out of five days, hitters play every game and if your a hitter your either a DH or a position player and if your pitching you need a position player to have your back but either way i would rather be the best hitter

Best hitter! Not to mention fielder!

The best pitcher almost never get highlights :P!

Seriously, I like hitters cause its more fun being a hitter. Pitching hurts your arm if you throw a slider or a screwball ( I dont throw any of those) You also get less pressure put on you. Except for the part in the 9th inning, two outs, outrunned, and people are depending on you to get a hit. I would hate to be in those situation which is rare sometimes unlike pitchers.

This is a great question. I think I would like to be the best hitter.Hitting a baseball is the hardest think to do in sports,a round ball with a round bat.All these guys that think thats pitching is a once every 5 days job has never done it before, the pitchers put in just as much work as the rest of the team, pitching a baseball at a major league level is an art,its not just throwing 100 mph.

From a talent standpoint I'd rather be a great pitcher as good pitching beats good hitting most of the time.

My love of the game, I would rather play every day, so the best hitter it is. Money & time off are not issues w me!

Hitter, only because I want to be an everyday player. I don't think they're more valuable than pitchers, but I don't want to be watching the game from the dugout four out of every five days. I want to be on the field as much as possible.

If I was getting paid, I'd want to be the best pitcher. They are the most valuable and get paid the most.

Personally there is nothing better then getting the big hit. I'd want to be the best hitter.

Hitter because I would play every day, and be less likely to get injured than a pitcher.

For longevity sake? Best Hitter. Too many bad things can happen to a pitcher's arm that can make him go from best to worst real fast.
