You didn't know anybody when you came into this world, and you'll leave it alone too. Nobody ever knows anybody else. We meet, we share some good times, some bad times, and we try to treat each other with kindness and respect, and we all fall a little short, and maybe some folks will know a lot more ABOUT us for a time. But we're alone really. It's OK. Everyone has the same problem whether they are sequestered in solitude or lost in a crowd.
The key is to make the best of all situations and learn to be happy, embrace new things when they present themselves, reach beyond your comfort zone to experience new things and meet new people every once in a while, and maybe somebody will earn some trust along the way. And maybe they will disappoint you, die or just leave.
It's just life. Try to have some fun with it:)

I am a little afraid yes as I love my husband by my side but i think i could live and learn to be alone and okay with it... I think i would have my kids live near me so i can see and spend time with them and my grand babies.... I might date once in a while too! I would get more involved with my church and i would make alot of girlfriends to hang out with:) I would also take up some hobbies and have fun and i would want to take a taxi and go shopping!

Yes, the prospect of living alone when I'm old is unpleasant to me - because I have seen many old people who end up alone and lonely, and it's not a pretty picture. It seems, it's always better to have someone around as you grow old - your partner, your kids, your family.

of course I am. all my live I have pictured myself in a big house with my grandchildren playing around and my husband cooking something in the grill. I'm not even married but I always tell my bf I want to have 2 or 3 kids so I have some family when i get older. i think it's natural and seen we always see that in the movies you kinda believe you'll have that kind of life too. but if i dont have kids i dont care, as long as i have my man with me and I die first I'll be ok.

believe me i wish to live alone without a partner, you will worry only about yourself and you could spend all day with friends doing what you want and at night go home do whatever you want and sleep and so on, life will be life, you will not care about children or anything, just you, your tshirt and pants!

Actually, I'm afraid I WON"T live alone when I get old. I might be old now.....I'm 42. If you're 25 or less, that's ancient. I rather enjoy being alone and that's what I prefer.

Yes, I always think, what would happen if my husband dies before me? I htink i just rely on him to much and feel afraid that i wouldn't be able to make it on my own without him. I know that sounds pathetic but it is true.

yes a little bit.
but whenever I see husband & wife who are not happy and divorced couples,
getting married to avoid loneliness or for the days when we get old is nonsense.
stil , to have good spouse who is also good friend is ideal.
I will try to find that kind of girl.
I think its our homework to be done to be happy.

I have to say I am. I don't want to live alone. Especially when I am older. Its not that I want some one to care for me, But I do seek comfort.
