It depends on what list you look at . 1 list last year marked japan first and Ireland second . That list was based on how much each individual is worth per head of population. Ireland came out so high due to the high value /cost of homes.
Another list looked at just disposable income based on spending on items like Play stations and other consumer electronics . That list came out the same with japan first then Ireland.
Japan is the only country in the world to have more PlayStation's per head of population than Ireland.
As with most lists it really depends on what information is used to calculate the result.

u can get the information from World Bank.
I once came across a living standard index which compares that across countries by using New York as a base (New York=100). Can't give u a link right now. But you can do a search on World Bank's site.
Hope it helps.

Most are studies requested by the UN so never really end up on a website.
You get companies like MercerHR who do the studies but it'll cost to get the full suvery results. They do have a press release done by survey, which lists Zurich as no1.

No, there is not any relation there. Their success has no longer some thing to do with you or some thing about you. And certain, the countries of Scandinavia have between the utmost criteria of residing contained in the international. the incontrovertible actuality that they pay intense taxes would not change this - in reality it facilitates them to provide for the very intense aspect of social welfare reward they obtain, which makes their lives extra effective.

If you rank countries by the UN's Human Development Index then it is Norway (2004 data, published 2006). If you rank them by per capita gross national income, Luxembourg comes on top (2005 data published in 2006), UK is 10th.

Coxinda is right - by GDP it is Luxembourg. I do not know where you got that for Denmark, but you are mistaken -
