Everything is open for suggestion. The only specific detail is that i wanna start and end in amsterdam. No definitive itinerary planned. I'm 20 years old and this is my first time going.

i'm pretty much up for anything. I was considering maybe getting a cheap apartment/room in amsterdam for about a month of the trip and then backpacking through europe for the remaining 2 months. With day trips of course to surrounding areas. Everything is negotiable. This trip is an open book, i'm looking for ideas. I figure $4000/$5000 is probably a safe bet, and im even willing to find work there for a bit.

what kind of budget? backpacking and hitching? train? hostel or hotel?
