It's not weird! Some people are so narrowminded.

It's a token of love. Valentines is a celebration of that... it's not all horny 20 somethings going out for dinner y'know!

I am a WOMAN for the record. There is nothing creepy about loving ones children. :(

First, I want to say my parents always gave me a valentine's day gift!
There is nothing wrong will helping your children develop in terms of self-respect and a sense of specialness.
As far as ideas. My parents would give me a small box of sweets and a book, or when younger a stuffed animal.
Again, congratulations for thinking of your daughters and valuing them!

I always bought my daughter a Valentine's Day gift too once she was past the age of about 8. When she could understand and take care of stuff better. Things I have got for her included stuffed animals.(She likes ducks and bears). Charm bracelet.(Not expensive) with little hearts and such. Necklaces with hearts or that said with love from Mom & Dad. With a charm bracelet, you can add things every year too. As stated, the jewelry wasn't expensive at this age. I have spent more since she is grown, or buy GOOD jewelry, but I still get her something. She's 19 now and on her own. I always got a card too to say how I felt. Sometimes we went out ,just the 2 of us, for a mother/daughter lunch.

I do it for my daughters too, some years its heart shaped chocolates and I have even made heart shaped toast covered with strawberry jam, its just a bit of fun I never spend alot. They make me hand made cards. Supermarkets always have those little teddies holding chocs that kind of thing.

Never heard of giving daughters a valentines gift but hey whatever floats your toast. I suggest some cute cuddly bears with a valentine message.
