I'm sure this is hard for you & your sister but realize that life is hard & usually not fair. It's unfortunate that your parents aren't always keeping your best interests in mind but look at the bright side. You are healthy I presume when there are lots of kids your age that don't have food to eat every day or they are sick in the hospital with a disease. Try to find the positive things in your life & focus on that & talk to your parents so they know how this is affecting you. They might make some changes. Also, pray alot. God Bless!

Ok life is hard, thats the truest thing nyone can ever say.And belive me i know were ur commin from bro.My parents r divorced too, except 1 thing is that ihavn seen my dad for like 4 yrs, and he is supposably in rehab now.So i know about family struggles and sht.But the answerto ur question is, 1st of all keep god in ur life. Its way too easy to lose sight of th good things in life and fall into darkness. But no matter how much bs u go through u always have to stay true to the lord because he wants to help u so much u just have to let him. And many ppl ask if god is so great y does he allow struggle and pain in this world, and it because he gave man the decision too make life wat they want it to be AND WE r the ones who messed everythin up....so basically, life is watcha make it. Also here is somethin good to think of wene ever u need some couragel, "WITHOUT HATE THERE WOULD'NT BE LOVE.WITHOUT WAR THERE WOULDN'T BE PEACE.AND WITHOUT PAIN THERE WOULDNT BE LIFE

Brandi, you are in a difficult position right now. I don't know why bad things happen to good people. I'll never understand why this life has to be so screwed up for some of us while it seems so good and undeserving for others.
What they say is true though, ..."that which does not kill us, makes us stronger"... stronger for what I do not know. All I can tell you is that one day you will have a better life. Good things do come to those who wait. Be patient and put your faith in God and hold on to the hope that one day things will be better. Do what you can to better yourself because you can not change those around you.

I'm so sorry that you've had to deal with such "adult" issues at such a young age.

Through no fault of your own you have ended up in a terrible situation. Do you have any other relatives you can turn to? I don't know how old you are, are you still in school? What about a guidance counselor at school? You need to find someone who you can talk to about these issues.

If you are old enough to work maybe you and your sister can find a way to live together. In any event, please try to find someone to talk to that can help you work through these difficult times.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, God bless.

think we have all had a hard life, parents i believe do the best they can with what they have, but sometimes kid's don't get what they need to grow up in a healthy happy home. unfortunately step parents don't always make for a happy family. sometimes the mistakes our parents make when we are young do affect us terribly. just get someone u feel safe talking to about all this, don't keep it in. good luck

Brandi, I feel your pain, there is always hope, to love, we must first be loved, so that we can love others, Jesus loves us so much that He died on the cross for our sins, He came to give us life, and life more abundently, He is not complicated and can help you through anything, all He wants is for us to give Him our hearts, and we will feel His love rain down on us.......God bless ya
