No... the most haunted places are hospitals, nursing homes, and prisons. ghost don't "haunt" the place where their body is, they "haunt" where they died... and most deaths happen in hospitals, nursing homes, and prisons... so if you are "looking" for a spook, look in these places.

I don't see why they would be. The whole idea behind hauntings is that the 'spirit' sometimes stays behind in a place where something tragic happened or at a place that was meaningful to them in life. I don't see why they'd stick around where their dead body was because the body is moved there after death. You'd think that a hospital would be more haunted than a cemetery. I know cemeteries have that eerie feeling sometimes but I don't really believe it's because anyone is 'there'. People are always talking about having some sort of weird experience in a cemetery but I tend to think those people are already weirded out or expecting it so they are just imagining it. I do believe that some houses/other places have strange things going on in them though.

I don't think so at all. I think ghosts and spirits have much better places to hang out other than cemeteries! However, because of the dark, sad energy that often surrounds cemeteries, I do believe it can attract the more negative, or depressed spirit. They would love that kind of atmosphere, plus they get to scare people which is just up their street!

I think that they would be less haunted. A cemetery is a quiet place to go to and it is respected so i would say that I'd feel better there than in a haunted house. I think that energy is in cemeteries but it isn't necessarily bad energies.

I lived in a town in the Rockies and I used to walk past the cemetery on evening hikes. There is a certain energy that radiates from it, especially around the evening twilight. I don't hang out near cemeteries at night, though. I think one could see a spirit walking around at night.

The Dead will never harm you.Cemeteries are a place were the physical remains of our friends and loved ones are put to rest.RIP is a term put upon many headstones so the memory of our loved ones may "Rest In Peace".Presonally I donot believe a resting place is a haunting place.

Yes, but not because they are cemeteries. I believe that certain places on earth are spiritual or holy places to begin with. When people were looking for places to bury their loved ones, they were subconciously drawn to these places, because of the feeling they got from being there. Just my theory.

I'm sensitive to ghosts. I quite often see them. If I don't see them, I feel them. Its like feeling like someone else is in the room with you but there's really no one there.
I don't like cemetaries and avoid them if I can because most cemetaries are haunted by at least one ghost. Sometimes two or three. Rarely more than that.
Although, if a cemetary is particularly old, it tends to not have any ghosts in it. Its why I don't think ghosts last very long. I've never seen a ghost in a 500 year old cemetary for example. But I have seen a ghost in a 300 year old cemetary (New Orleans).
I can always tell when they're near. Its happened so much that it doesn't phase me anymore. They surprise me, they don't scare me.

Spirit moves into another realm of existence. The light is the gateway to progression into this realm. When spirit does not look to the light, they may be 'stuck' and cemeteries are the places of their last thoughts.

i don't see why they would be. a haunting is supposed to occur in a place of some significance in the persons life. unless the person had planned to be buried in a specific plot.
