for some really odd reason i think my bf is lying about where he works. if i call his supposed job to verify employment where he works, what should i say so i can sound official?

why dont you just call there and ask to speak to him, if they tell you hold on they will get him, just hang up when he answers.

Call and ask to speak with him. IF he works there I am sure they will either put you through, or ask to take a message. The real question is why would he lie over something like that? Without trust there really is no relationship.

Call, then say you are looking for so and so, then say you have a very important business matter to discus with so and so. They should say if he works there or not or if he is there. If he is there then hang up. Never bring this up again.

when calling try saying something like i am calling to verify the employment of ___________. they may ask who you are and that is where you will get stuck

Just call and ask for him. You dont need to lie. Just say, "May I speak with __"

Call and ask to speak to________________. If they say can we take a message..then he's there. If they say we do not have anyone by that name..he's lying.
