the international dialling prefix code that works in all countries is + followed by the country number
eg
+1- USA, Canada, some Carribbean islandds
+44 UK, CI & IoM
UK numbers are a bit more difficutl as you need to drop the leading 0 off the STD code
eg 0207 becoem +44 207
Im not entirely certain if the US /Canada use the + prefix... but then seeing as you are talking about calling from India Im guessing it will be the same as the UK (& the rest of the world that uses the international standards
bear in mind that assumes the mobile you are calling in the UK is a UK mobile. you would dial +44 7. if say it was an irish mobile in the UK youd have to dial that countries number (+353)
mind you unless you have got a phenominally large bank blanace I wouldn't ring a mobile internationally.... they are exepnsive enough as is. check with your phone compmnay if they do a special deal on calls from India its a bit like a bank overdraft.. if you dont tell them beforehand they can charge any rate they like almost.. making arrangements before hand can be significantly cheaper.

It's exatly the same as calling a landline. It just costs more.
Dial +44 (or 0044 if you like) then the mobile number but do not dial the first 0 of the mobile's number.

as others say it will work if you tell t mobile (and they update your account). The best bet is to buy a sim card there. Airtel is a large network there. You can roam within india, BUT you get charged for incoming calls if eg you buy your card in Mumbai and go to Goa that is classed as roaming. In reality the cost of the calls.... make it a bit of a non issue

Depends on which country network the mobile you are ringing is.
If person with mobile is in uk it could be an indian mobile with their area code regardless if they are in uk, I think

uk is always +44 ( press and hold the zero for the +sign)
omit the the first zero
example
if the mobile number yu want to call is 07890123456
then the number to call is
+447890123456
: - )
