1987 305ci 4bbl carb. I have a single black wire that has been extended with a blue wire, i comes up near the alternator with plenty of slack, i cant find where it connects to, Any ideas???

Thanks for your answers, The a/c has been removed, and i think it was to do with that. Everthing else connected (engine just back in) Firing up as soon as plug leads arrive.

It sounds like it might be a ground wire - someone may have had an extra piece of equipment hooked up (NOS or something) and took it out.

As long as the car runs, I would just wrap some electrical tape around it and ignore it.

check the driver side head, there should be a single wire to your temp light. If your really worried about it, take a pic of the connector and post it in the boards on Thirdgen.org.

that wire is likely the ground wire for the electric choke.

If it has a washer type end it is a ground wire.

Are you in the US? if so change your settings and ask this on the US site! There are probably only about 2 Camaro's in the UK, if that many? No-one here knows anything about them.
