Supposedly there was this guy--Daniel--who "forced" her to be his girlfriend. Supposedly wouldn't let her out of his car until she agreed, and supposedly put bruises on her arms. I later heard from another of my friends, Rachel, that she was kissing him & almost got in trouble with one of the security cops on campus for that, it was so "lude". I also heard from Rachel ((really trustworthy, known her forever)) that she started going out with him, not that he forced her to do this. What do you think? Is my friend lying? She also didn't tell me about this right away, and with her big mouth, it would have been the first thing she said to me this morning. I had to prompt her to tell me about it.
The story Rachel told me and the story my other friend told me don't even seem remotely alike??? If my friend's not lying, why would she say something like this?
I've confronted her, and she denied that she willingly got together with Daniel.
Who do I believe?!

I don't even know who Daniel IS. So, can't talk to him about it. And if he did force her into this, don't wanna talk to him...even if I knew who he was.

Wow that's a tough one. If it is true your friend may need some help. If she was forced to be his girlfriend she may have a lot of trouble and that may be why she didn't want to tell you right away. Maybe she is embarrassed.
If it's not true then maybe she is crying out for attention.
Does she have bruises you can see?
Either way it's a tough call.

oh i cant stand that sort of thing! he "forced" her? that's just silly.... you can force se x on someone, but not a relationship! and especially if there are several witnesses saying something completely different.... maybe she just gets off on lying and drama... i have had acquaintences like this in the past and they are simply toxic! you will always be wondering why she would lie to you bold faced... and if she lied about this random weird crap, whose to say she wont lie about more important stuff later on, like coming on to your future boyfriends, or stealing from you, or starting rumors.... toxic... run.... that's all i know.... good luck to you though, it's hard when you learn something like this about your friend!

She doesn't want to tell you the truth because she understands now that her life is her own, not yours. From what you have written both you and the Rachel are prying and gossiping. The friend whom you have not named probably doesn't want to share all of business with either of you. Sorry.....

One of your friends is but I am not sure which one is lying. Talk to the one that is suppose to be seeing the boy and tell her that someone seen her making out with him.

I don't know... suppose the first friend is deluded and fooling herself to feel better and Rachel has a better perspective?

That story sounds crazy. Even if that guy did force her to say she would be with him, that doesn't mean she has to once he let her go.

Your friend definitely has issues. She could benefit from some counseling. I would tell her so if I were you.
