There is no way to know because it depends on multiple variables such as where you are and how many neighbors may be sharing the connection.

Internet service is no different than a freeway: it depends on whether your provider (the freeway) has the capacity to let your computer (the car) on it and be able to move quickly.

Internet providers make flaming statements regarding their burst speeds, but they provide no data on the two critical components: latency and sustained speed. Latency refers to how long it takes for a packet to traverse their network (in other words, when you open your browser, do you wait 1 millisecond or 5 seconds for the page to come up?). Sustained speed refers to the average speed in a typical scenario (not the theoretical maximum that is advertised).

Because those figures are not published, trial and error is the only solution, unless you talk with your neighbors about their experiences and you go with the exact same provider.

None of the dial up connections are that fast. It's better to go with DSL or Satelight internet.

Any cable service, but remember fast internet is only as fast as your computer.

You forgot to mention the names of the providers. It would help if you gave your location because the entire world does not use the same providers!
