I'm going to a concert and don't want to be too formal, but I don't have a more casual sportcoat or blazer--just a full suit. Can I wear it without a tie without looking silly?

Wear the jacket with jeans and you won't look so formal.

Sure you can wear a suit without a tie. What kind of concert is it? Because the suit coat with a nice button shirt and a pair of jeans is the new semi casual. But pay attention to the red carpet awards on TV and you'll see many of the men wearing a suit with out a tie.

Of course you can wear a suit without a tie. Why not? Sometimes it looks even better and not so official but still elegant.

I have found that my birthday suit goes best without a tie.

as long as it is not a black tie event. The no tie suit is actually in style much more laid back

What kind of concert? Why not wear jeans and a t-shirt if it's not an opera or something like that.

keep a tie in your pocket.

this way, you can go not wearing one and look relaxed and comfotable and confident, but if it turns out everyone is wearing a tie, you can pop it on.
