I am an American convert to Islam so I can speak only for myself when it comers to why I embraced Islam. The short version is that Islam is a complete code for life. It offers answers and guidance for every possible scenario and it embraces people of all kinds, from all races and backgrounds. You dont have to take a test to become a muslim and once you are a muslim there is no distinction made between you and someone born into Islam. It is not a bad religion, rather it is a badly implemented one by some these days.

It's acturaly a really peace ful religion. I did some research on it.
Unfortunitly theres sickos out there that will twist the teachings for there own ends to be met.

Evidently they believe it is best for them. It has to do with freedom of religion. Anyone can choose whichever religion he/she desires to practice. I think this is a good thing.
