I have been wearing womens clothes for years. Certain clubs I will go in dressed and even if I'm driving to the clubs I'm dressed.

Not long ago I was in a Borders book store here in St Louis, and the young man behind the cafe bar, whom we have seen many times, was wearing a skirt and a women's top. He had on either thigh high or panty hose with shoes that had a slight heel on them.
I asked why he decided to wear what he had on and he replied saying he enjoy being different and trying new things. AT least 90% of the comments were favorable from both male and female.

I give him credit for doing what he did and he still work there and on occasion will be cross dressed.

What are you thoughts?

I'm surprised at the answers are all positive. What age groups have responded?

Well, to answer your question as best as I can. Let me first start by saying that I am a guy who wears skirt, shaves my legs(Have every since High School), I wear pants, shorts, tshirst, the list go on and on. Oh, and by the way I also fight fires too! It's not so much what socitey thinks it's more what you think! The last time I looked there was no laws that said men had to look a certain way. For men to step out side of a comfort zone and be diffrent from other males just dosen't happen! Why mainly becuase we worry too much about what some other male is going to say, or that someone who is not really sucre in there masculitey will try to be stupid and do something they shouldn't. For us males it's all about trying to fit into that real man slot! If you really set back and think about it what is a "Real Man"? For females i feel from some of the books that I have read it easy. Once they have there first period as a little girl they are now looked and in most cultures as women! Why mainly because they can now techincly have kids. Where as men, escpecially in the USA, don't really have a right of passage so to speak. Ya we grow and ya are bodys change and are voice changes. You walk down the streat and ask any person male or female, gay, strait, or some where inbetween what a real man is you will get a millon diffent answers. Men are I guess kind of like a dog we do what we are tougt to do and we do as the rest of the dogs in the pack. If we step out side of that we are looked at as strage or diffrent and as males it is not considerd ok to be to diffent from the other males! I have still made the desicon that if I feel like I want to wear a skirt today I will and if I don't I won't. You have to sit back and try to make up your mind do you want tpo be like the rest of the guys and try to fit into the "Real Man" slot by not wearing a skirt, or are you going to do what makes you happy and be who you are!

Fashion cahnges often - what we wear today will look insane in 100 years. I say it is more important how a person behaves than how they dress.

I am in St Louis too so hello neighbor!

It hurts no one, we are all adults and we all agree whatever YOU wear is as Jon Oliver says it -- "No one's ******* business !!!" -- for reference please see his video on YouTube regarding transgendered people.... ;-)

The whole point is to BE YOURSELF -- for far too long we've let weird people like overly religious types and politically motivated jerks who only really care about their money try to tell us what we should be wearing, who we can marry and what bathroom we can use and it's all completely irrelevant and stupid. Seriously, you're a grown up, be grown up for a change...

If you're a male no matter what your age is you CAN wear a denim skirt if you so choose to at any time anywhere in public as long as it doesn't #1 hurt anyone and #2 everyone's rights END where a crossdresser's nose begins...ask any lawyer and they will agree, business is very good for them right now thanks entirely to bigots.

YOU are free to wear whatever suits you. If you own a denim skirt, wear it out in public for a change...no one is going to bother you about it. BE YOURSELF !!!

For male crossdressers, please don't be afraid to step out in public in a male top with a denim skirt of knee length and with or with hose depending upon the weather...just please, please, please (as a crossdresser myself) please, please, please shave your legs, OMG ! It's nasty enough that women do it all of time, we have to maintain some standard of decency...lol ;-) And if you have a girlfriend, by all means, take her out to dinner in a skirt that matches her...no one is going to bother you at all...I know, I've been doing it for years..

America is rapidly changing...no longer are stereotypes and binary genders acceptable excuses. We should present as who WE all are -- and our children SHOULD too -- we are examples to them...Accept others as THEY are even if don't agree with them...they are human too... :">

The world is changing...change with it or your kids will be left behind...

I'm all about deconstructing gender. It's not my pet project, but I fully support those who are working on it and try to help out when I can.
