Who is it they are occupying? Trans-Jordanians? I can support Palestinians be treated with dignity, but the whole idea that the Jihad and Hamas are 'resistance fighters' seems like it was made up by the liberal media.

Jerusalem was Jewish territory before there was a such thing as Islam. The crux of the conflict was the fault of the WWI British gov't making conflicting promises to the Jews & the Palestinians to each occupy the same land. Part of the land promised to the Palestinians, however was in modern day Jordan and Syria, who have succesfully shifted Palestinian hatred to Israel and the "occupying Zionists". After WWI, (and even before), many Arab nations were persecuting the Jews who lived in their countries, which forced a mass exodus from surrounding countries to Israel, thus increasing the Jewish population of Israel. We have areas in the US which become "occupied" by specific races & nationalities, but the difference is Americans don't walk into Little Havanna or Chinatown with explosives strapped to our chests to massacre them.

The Jews invaded and took the land that the Palestinians lived on by force, killing hundreds of thousands to drive the rest out.
It is irrelevant if the place was not an officially recognized country by the league of nations.
These Jews came from Europe. What right did they have to kill off people to take the land and occupy it?
It is no wonder why most of the nations in the Middle East do not recognize Israel as a legitimate nation.

No point in crying about spilt milk, however. At this point, two things need to happen: Palestinians need to renounce terrorism, and the Israelis need to renounce radical zionist expansion schemes and stop building those darn settlements.
