"no crank" means the engine doesn't turn over when you turn the key to start. "no start" means the engine won't run even though the starter's cranking the engine over properly. You need to make sure the cranking voltage across your battery is at least 9 Volts when you crank the engine. That is the minimum voltage needed by your computer and other electrical to work properly while your cranking a no-start engine. If your battery is over 4 years old, replace it. Otherwise, have your battery load tested to make sure it's good. Once you know you've got a good battery and clean, tight battery terminals, check for spark by using a spark tester. Next, check for proper fuel pressure using a fuel pressure gauge.

Depend on what car and how old it is.Older car made in 1990 or before is easy fix by yourself, later model are more complicated(electronic) and hark to fix by your self and need equipment.General speaking if gasolinee car can't start check starter then check gasolin supply line smell any gas from the caliber(if not use injector) then check electric part;see any spark in the spark pub then need check timing. Some time the timing belt broke then no way to start unless fix it.
late model all has electric code and show you what is wrong

Well I do not know what type of car you have but with my car it sometimes does not want to start, But I finally found the problem and got it fixed. The computer wires had a short in it and they ended up having to have the computer rebuilt. It works fine now,
