what are some events in your life that have taught you important lessons?

i lost someone who mattered most to me--it taught me to appreciate who is in my life

divorce--taught me to stand up for myself and be strong, again, teaching me appreciation

marriage (2nd husband)--taught me to love unconditionally and with all of my heart

Well that's a good question. My Dad being a recovering alcoholic, it taught me how to be patient and that people do change. The death of my Mother--nothing lasts forever--we all know this but only when it hits home does it become real for someone. My first marriage--better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. Having children true, unconditional Love.

In 1973 I was a hippie living in Ecuador with my husband and 15month old child.

Christians in Quito told me (and my husband) that the Bible is a true document and that following its precepts and instructions would radically change our lives. We became Christians by praying for Jesus to become our master and Savior and it made a

HH UU GG EE HUGE difference to the rest of my life.

IMPORTANT lessons:
Live according to the laws and customs of your culture
Try as hard a poss to live at peace with each other
Be kind to one another
Honor my mother and father
Keep a sabbath day of little or no work
Follow the Big Ten = don't lie, cheat, steal, covet, (want what is not mine), fornicate or adulterate, according to the Ten Commandments

Radical change in my life and I recommend it to ANYONE.
