My cousingave me her breast pump. she said all I have to do is buy replacement parts for it. She said I could get them off the internet. For a Ameda Purely Yours double electric pump. I'm 37 weeks along. I'm worried if I order them over the internet they will cost a fortune and also that the baby will come early before the parts get here. does anyone know 1 if there are any stores that just sell these parts and I can walk in and get them and 2 if I have to order them online where is the cheapest place to look? thank you

Find out if your hospital sells collection kits. Talk to the Lactation Consultant.

Contact La Leche League in your area. Your Leader may know if there is a place that sells them near you.

Try the manufacturer -

Does it really matter if it gets here before you have the baby? YOu probably won't need it for a few weeks anyway.

Call Ameda directly they will know who sells them in your area, then start calling around for prices.

Also, I want to make it clear, that it is perfectly acceptable for you to reuse ALL parts of the breastpump, including the cones, tubes, and collecting bottles. They can be sterilized and if they couldn't they wouldn't be useable at all. So if your cousin still has these pieces just use hers, toss 'em in the dishwasher or even boil them if you want. (You may want to check the manual before boiling, particularly the tubes, the tubes never come into contact with the milk though)

Well I just looked them up myself - trying to decide which one to get. The replacement parts are actually pretty cheap online as well. I checked shipping for the pump I like and said ships in one to two days, so you should be able to get it in like a week. Good Luck

I completely pumped for my first newborn. I basically washed the elements with warm soapy water after each pumping consultation and allow them air dry. you are able to likely throw them interior the dishwasher on the end of on a daily basis to be particular they're more effective sparkling.

ordering parts and them havin them shipped- you might as well get a new one. plus is more sanitary, for baby and you. it is eletric though, i guess it depends on what parts you need, i know you cannot just get them in a store but you can definatley ask your hospital if they carry the parts since they always have eletric pumps there. try ebay first, you can call the manufactures for the parts,
