I accidentally switched the channel this morning to MTV and this show called WILDBOYZ was on. Two guys were taking a bath in swamp water with little alligators swimming around. They were really scared and someone thought the alligators would bite their "jewels" off. This really made me sick to my stomach! Then they ate and THREW UP fried scorpions a while later! What kind of entertainment is this??

Some people are curious about the macabre. That is why motorists slow down and gawk at an automobile accident. They are looking for blood and gore. I have seen my share plus a bunch.

Its because people love to watch it. Fear Factor was such a hit, watching people having to eat 'rocky mountain oyasters', and other discutings body parts of animals for stunts....seeing if they could actually do it..and some did it with no problem...and others would gag on it.

Yeah, like some of those things they eat on Fear Factor and then throw up. Why do people watch it? I had this friend who had to watch it, but she would throw up if it was too bad....go figure.

Those shows are cheap to make (no high paid tv stars) and they depend on shock value.

people have an innate mobid curiosity...hence rubber necking delays around car acccidents ...and the need some people have to follow fire engines to fires
