An Australian investor group was going to but they couldn't put together enough investors to fund the project so it is dead. Perhaps it is best this way modern ship designers like modern car designers have a tendency to screw up the wettest dreams. So lets not let them screw up the Titanics beautiful lines with modern design ideas.

Several attempts have been made, but funding and other complications ended these projects.

White Star Line built 3 of these ships, each virtually identical: Olympic, Titanic, and Brittanic, so the market demand for Titanic-style travel was satisfied at the time.

Few people today would be interested in traveling in one of these ships any more than taking a long trip in an airplane or car of that era, so it's unlikely an exact replica would be profitable enough to get beyond the planning stage.

An exact copy will never be allowed to sail. The design is unsafe and can't pass ship building regulations.

I hope so - it would be funny watching them waste the money.
