Best reference source for astrology would be Linda Goodman's books, she has several. And Linda Goodman's Star Signs will also let you know which colors, gems, herbs, foods are best for each sign as well.

Books on zodiac signs have been written by observing people having those zodiac signs. When you yourself have the sign Leo, wouldn't introspection be of more help than reading in a book what you ought to be ? You do not need to align yourself with any astronomical or astrological entities...maintaining individuality is so much better than being just another brick in the wall. By the way, I do believe in astrology and I'm also a Leo!
