In what ways and to what extent did constitutional and social developments between 1860 and 1877 amount to a revolution?

You could write a book on this. I would take the Constitutional Amendments passed during this period and briefly discuss what societal changes had occurred which led to each one (and you may want to throw in a note about Susan B. Anthony and Lucretia Howe who's activism started the path to the 19th Amendment).
