wow so many negative's.let me start by saying that schilling's done more for MA in his short time here than the troop hating liberal john kerry has in his 24 yrs as senator.also atomatically he would get 35% thats about what bush got and kerry healey.you dont think a very popular world series red sox pitcher could gain 16% he would get that easily because red sox nation is huge.plus with kerry's negatives

Massachusetts electing a Republican Senator? That's about as likely as the Red Sox winning the World Series.... Wait, that happened...

Seriously, the Boston media will shred Schilling before he even begins to pose a serious threat to one of their boys. Add to this that Schilling has absolutely NO gift for the non-answer that politicians use to controversial questions.

Do people admire Schilling for putting his career on the line in 2004? Absolutely. Does this translate into 50.1% of the vote? I don't think so.

Well it was just announced that he will pitch in 2008, and the election are due to happen in 2008. He could be a could senator, he is a very good people person which is a huge requirement as a senator. On the long run he will need more then popularity and people skills. He will need to show how good of a senator he can be.

Didn't know of his campaign til now. I knew him casually when he pitched for the Orioles.

He's a gamer as "the bloody sock" showed everyone & speaks well, but sadly a Republican winning a statewide seat like US Senator in MA is a long shot, but hey so was the BOSOX comeback in the World Series!!

I'm a Dem myself , but Kerry committed treasonous behavior w the Viet Nam troops, & as for Sen Kennedy.....he is waaaay overdue to retire!! I'm friends w one of his nephews, & respect most of the Kennedys immensely for the contributions they've made to better our country/world.....Sen Ted is more hypocritical than most elected officials.

Go Curt !!
