We let a friend of mine stay with us for awhile and it was ok for a couple of days, hed help clean and stuff but then hed be coming in at all hours *he didnt have a key so I had to get up and let him a 3 when I had to go to work 3 hours later* then he was using my husbands screenname and we didnt give him the password so if he got kicked off he couldnt get back on... so he created his own screenname.. I dont think it takes much for someone to overstay their welcome..

I always found the following to be true:

Day 1- Everyone is excited to see each other.
Day 2- Fun activity of some kind, enjoyable.
Day 3- House starts to get messy.
Day 4- Nothing much new to say anymore.
Day 5- Time for guests to be gone.

When it is only adults visiting you could probably stay a week as long as you helped with keeping things neat and contributing toward meals and entertainment.
If there are children in the mix---no more than 3 days!

There is a saying that fish and guests start to stink after 3 days, and I would agree with this.

well if its for the day its when they got there pjs on and keep yawning, you cant hint more better than that.if its for a few days you know youve outstayed ya welcome when they are planning to do stuff for the next few days and your not invited.i think 3 days is enough if you are just visiting, because the 1st day your glad to see each other and pleanty to talk about, the 2nd day you probably all go out somewhere, the 3rd youve run out of conversation and it gets boring ,so its best to go and then next time you visit they be pleased to see you again and youll have a great time

I'd say longer than a week, unless you've arranged for them to put money toward bills and food.
