You are referring the the heating element - or the measuring device?

To heat higher than 100 degree C you can use a specially built melting point apparatus' (usually good up to 500 degrees C), or you can use oil baths (silcone oil is usually the best choice for organic compounds) extending the range out to about 250 degree C.
