I don't think that every drug addict should. If you know an addict who's willing to put himself into an impatient treatment, then no he shouldn't go to jail. If u know an addict who is violent and refuses to admit he has a problem then yes he needs to go to jail for his and other peoples own safety.

I believe that when a drug addict hits 3 strikes that they should go to jail, in their case put under the jail. And as for the ones that hit women, that's a no, no, and should be taught a big lesson.

I've known a lot of drug addicts and most of them are not violent. If their only crime is drug addiction, they should be allowed to get treatment instead of going to jail.
Violent offenders should always have to go to jail.

If they break the law...yes. But not simply because they are drug addicts. There is a difference between an addict and a dealer. That is why the jails and prisons are so over-crowded.

A "drug addict" can't go to jail. That is illegal. He has to commit a crime. A crime like that would be a status crime and isn't allowed. But i do think drug dealers and buyers should go to jail.

They should be rounded up and sent to a colony we would establish in Iraq. Then they can form their own society where they can establish their own rules.
