I'm fine with it as poetry or as allegory. It's a beautiful way of putting things. But it isn't the most scientifically precise (or accurate) way of describing nature.

Bottom line: I like it like I like the bible--great reading so long as you keep it in its place and don't look to it as a source of literal truth about nature.
