Do you actually believe that the government is protecting us? Do YOU feel safe? I believe the government is taking away our freedoms to protect itself. What we need to do as a nation is rise against the oppression before us and unify under the goal the we as a nation deserve to make decisions regarding our political standpoints AS A NATION instead of LEAVING IT TO UNPROFESSIONAL EGOTISICAL IDIOTS. I dont feel safe and neither should you. The time has come people.

The feeling of safety and the actual being safe is what drives the economic engines of the world. There is no safety that anyone can guarantee.
I will choose not to relinquish any personal freedoms for any falsehoods of a protectorate that strangles any hope and snuffs out any that may express a sentiment that could be construed to be an improper thought.
People can only answer that when there is nothing left to lose.

in case you at the on the spot are not doing some thing unlawful then you genuinely have no longer some thing to agonize about. Wasn't that reaction from the right many years in the past even as the left expressed concerns over warrentless wiretapping? i locate it ironic then that there are Republican individuals of congress who're without caution in touch with the constitutionality of such surveillance. Their selective indignation would not galvanize me. BTW. there is not any foundation for the 30,000 parent. it is a wild exaggeration.

What does the fighting in Iraq or Afghanistan have to do with my "personal freedoms"? Nothing.
Bush had the mindset to bring the fight to our enemies so that we wouldn't have to sacrifice our personal freedoms.
If Bush had not taken the fight to the terrorists, we would have to deal with things like vehicle inspections at random checkpoints, car bombings at malls, grocery stores, etc....just like in Israel.
Yeah, we do a little bit when we go to the airport, which is fine by me, but other than that...no. My life is not affected, so my personal freedoms are intact for the most part.

Becoming one?
Echelon was stared under Carter and finished under Clinton. And you are worried about intercepting international calls to people who are two degrees seperated from a terrorist?
FDR orderde the FBI to read ALL incoming international mail before ww2 even commenced, and you are worried about today.
We have been a police state since FDR....just a benevolent police state.

As much as FDR had during WWII.
EXCEPT for the detention of Japanese, Italian and German Americans (yes, all three groups were targeted) without any allegations, much less proof of any kind, of enemy activity.
