There are a number of glue products which address this problem but none of them are totally invisible. Most of my customers tell me the best glue for vellum is the Stix2 Transfer Tape Pen which comes in both permanent and removable. It is a double sided tape 8.4mm wide x 12m in a dispenser like correction tape. It is acid free for scrapbooking.

There is Helmar V2 Vellum Adhesive Spray. Also acid free, repositionable, non yellowing. Sprays are best if you want the entire piece to stick down flat but as someone mentioned above you can get self adhesive vellum which would be simpler.

Glue Dots offer Invisi Dots for Vellum. I have not tried this but it doesn't seem very popular with my customers.

Tombow do a glue stick similar to Pritt but it is a clear gel and doesn't show much under vellum.

Double sided tape shows up but you can get an extremely narrow 3mm tape use it on one edge and cover with a peel-off border or a ribbon.

i am guessing that you already know where the scrapbooking isles are in the store that you shop at. so go there, and when you get to the glue, there should be photo mounts. they are little white squares and they come in a self dispensing box. just use one in each corner of your velium. you will still be able to see it, but it is easily covered with a sticker, and even if you leave it, it is more tasteful than dried glue. if you are making a larger card, use one in each corner, and in the middle of each side, so that you use 8, but they are on the very edges of the sheet. you could also use this to your advantage, and use a marker or pen (acid free) and draw a squiggle, a swirl, a smile, a star, anything on it. the squares are a little bigger than a square centemeter, but you can get them smaller. have fun!

Have you ever seen the white out tape despensers? Well, they have a glue now that comes in a little dispenser like that. It's kind of like double sided tape except smaller and a lot easier to use. You should be able to find it in the craft section of where ever you buy your scrapping supplies and it should be relatively inexpensive.

That's always been a problem with vellum. I saw on the Diy network show called "Scrapbooking" that they are making an adhesive backed vellum now...

i have vellum tape. it comes in a red/pink box and i believe it is made by scotch. the only time i have seen it through my vellum is when i let it get a little crimp in it whil applying it. you can get it at any arts and craft store (like Micheals)
