What did you think of final exams when you were a kid?

When you were in high school and middle school what did you think about having to take final exams?

It used to be exciting rather than nervous times...... I no longer feel the same regarding important tests in my job or life..... your question has made me think about this and the answer that comes to mind is that as a kid I used to have full faith in the fairness of the system and reasonably high confidence in my relative capabilities. Today the faith is gone and that itself has shaken my confidence too.

I was always confident that I would pass and considered the final exams a way to prove that I did the work, followed the rules and obeyed the system. The reward was getting promoted.
So not like that in the real world.

I loved final exams because I always aced exams and they carried me through my failure to turn in much of my homework assignments.
I wish now that I had done all the assignments too.

Did not give serious thought. It occurred as a matter of course. Hard work of course paid.

We didn't have them in middle school well not to my remeberance but in high school they were ok. I didn't like them but I studied and passed.

I was glad when they were over. We could move on closer to summer.
