Kerala has a history of a vibrant labour movment and strikes are a common union programme. It does not affect the tourist's security, though sometimes there may be a little problem of traffic jams. Kerala called ' God's own country' is blessed with wonderful scenic beauty and numerous destinations including the famous Kovalam beach. It is safe and secure to travel and strikes have no big impact on that. Have a good visit in Kerala. You will love it (bring your camera- you will take back great pictures to share -back home).
