what is a best way to study and memorize hard words, also their definition?

I have a hard test with hard words, i need to memorize them!

Actually using them in day-to-day situations is a great method to "memorizing" the words and their definitions.

like rosemarie said, inculcation is the key. Use notecards, and it also helps to read or write the word in some kind of context you will remember.

Notecards, or writing them down over and over again on a piece of paper.
