it to start a new plant...When do i repot it, how do it know that i cut it in the right area...what are those brown nubby things located on the plant..Pls. help. i do nt have a green thumb...

The brown nubby things are root starts. If you want to root a cutting, just cut below the 3rd or 4th leaf and stick in damp soil or in a glass of water. They root very easily and can be done at any time. Use a sharp knife. As soon as the root starts growing you can plant it in a pot.

When I say below, I mean past, as in, if it is growing down like in a hanging basket, it would be above it.

Bates is correct. Be sure to take off lower leaves to prevent rotting in water and promote root growth in moist soil.
