I hired a lawyer to handle a probate for me in september. Nothing has been done and he won't take my calls. Is there a template for writing a letter to this lawyer to get some closure on this?

The first answer is very good.

If this gets you no where, you should be able to lodge a complaint with your local law society or bar.

Google your state and law society or law bar.

Write a letter to the name partner of the firm. Typically, the name partner is the "first name on the letterhead" or name of the firm, such as: Smith, Doe, Davis and Parker. Ask the receptionist for the first name of Mr. Smith.

Write a letter to Mr. _______ Smith, expressing your concerns against the attorney assigned to handle your probabe matter.

If you have a legal secretary friend ask him or her to type the letter for you.
