Florida Tollways

You normally would pass through two tolls: One when entering Highway 39 to the east of South Beloit, and the second one when you leave Highway 75 in Florida and turn on the Florida Turnpike. The route would look like this:

Leave South Beloit heading east on Gardner Street.
Drive south on Highway 39 until you reach Bloomington.
In the south of Bloomington turn southeast on Highway 74 to Champaign.
At Champaign turn south on Highway 57 and drive all the way to south of Illinois.
Just before leaving Illinois, close to Carbondale, turn southeast on Highway 24 toward Paduch which should take you to Kentucky, then Tennessee and Alabama.
Just before getting into Georgia, just close to Chattanooga, you turn south on Highway 75 which should get you into Florida.
Shortly after Ocala, you turn southeast on Florida Turnpike toward Orlando.
At the south of Orlando, you should turn east on Route 528 which becomes Route A1A after it ends, and this will take you to Cocoa Beach.

However, there's another way that avoids tolls. It takes about one hour longer and about 35 miles more than the above route.

First, to avoid the toll on Highway 39, go east on Gardner Street until you reach Dearborn Avenue, then head south on Dearborn Avenue toward Rockford. In Spring Creek turn east on Spring Creek Road, and shortly after that turn south on Parkview Avenue. You continue on Parkview until you reach Rural St on which you turn east and then immediately south on Wetly Avenue. Driving on Wetly, you will reach E State St on which you should go east and drive past Highway 39 until you reach Belvidere. You will be on Route BR20. Continue on this route until you reach Route 20 which if you take west, will get you to Highway 39 past the tolls portion.
From this point you continue the route just like the route described above.
To avoid the tolls in Florida, you should leave Highway 75 sooner. Just shortly after entering Florida, turn east on Highway 10 toward Jacksonville. Close to Jacksonville, you should turn south on Highway 295 toward south of Jacksonville where you should turn south on Highway 95. You drive on this Highway until you reach Route 528 shortly after Titusville. You turn east on this route and continue as described in the original route.
