A whole bunch of guys at my college call me names and spread rumors about me because I'm smart! What do I do?

Well the funny thing is? Being smart means you won't let them get to you. They are not worth it. Jealousy makes people do stupid things, very stupid things. Just hold your head high, and know that they will and need to grow-up. Use your energy to go where you intend to use your intelligence for the future. Have fun, Good Luck.

Here's a strategy I use to deal with people who are threatened by my intelligence. I simply talk overt their heads and use words they can't understand. People who are ultra-intelligent often possess a great deal of empathy and are more emotionally in tune than those who are not as bright. This is causing you a lot of grief in the short term, but look ahead to where you will be 4 years from now vs. where they will be. Chances are they will be eating your dust and doing the same things then as they are now. Regarding the rumors? They feel threatened by you and are trying to bring you down. Don't allow it.

Stand tall and walk proud because they are jealous of you. Ignore these people and continue to study and work towards your goals. Those people will not have anything to do with your future, so don't let them get to you. The best revenge is success and I guarantee that you will find it before any of them do. The fact that they call you names shows how immature they are. If you show that the name-calling and rumors get to you, you're unfortunately giving them more ammunition. I know it'll be hard, but try to act like it doesn't bother you, and hopefully they'll soon stop.

I kind of know what your feeling...here's what you have to do: IGNORE THOSE STUPID PEOPLE!!! ...and try not to worry about it.It will be your turn to laugh of them when you'll have an excellent and well payed job and they will beg for some cents at the corner of the street =))) Just be yourself! Trust in your powers!! I'm from Romania by the way ! ;)

When you get your graduates degree just remember to buy the trucking company they work for and fire them all. Good Luck in life and remember some of us think smart is sexy.
