(Not certain so don't quote me?) But I believe that Greenpeace is a privately funded organization?
Government doesn't support such militant behavior (Greenpeace is not always peacefull) when it actually protects and preserves anything worth saving... Government mostly only funds and backs things that destroy nature for human comfort and personal gain...
I can only wonder what the long term effects of mass oil production and tree destruction and ocean pollution will have on the planet.
The government proved to me that they don't really care when they decided to drill for oil in the ocean because people need to drive SUV's...
Im sure they do some things to offset the damage... but certainly not enough! Greenpeace is awesome... when they abide by the rules and behave themselves.

any good job will have to fase problems green peace is one of them,more important green peace does not excepts funds from every body.you report the wale killing it will stop.
