Just about any animal is smarter than us. Apparently Dolphin's are the smartest, but I haven't seen any proof of that. If they were, why are they always being caught and put in aquariums? Cat's are very smart but I think certain breeds of dogs are the smartest animals out there.

A dog, it just has to wag its tail, lick and look enthusiastic and it's got a home, food and a devoted master/mistress... without having to do anything else. Cattle have to pull carts, parrots have to imitate, apes have to perform tricks or be of scientific interest, just to get free food!... but dogs just have to be all cute and cuddly and as a bonus, hardly ever get eaten.

All animals are clever/smart.. scientist are doing a lot of research and seeing just how clever different animals are. All life is amazing when you look close enough.
