the remax on the west coast only brings in proven sales people with a high sales record/experience..

it is a great place to work as a hired licensed assistant..when your ready (with a remax agent) and the only way remax would bring in a new licence sales..
get a resume ready ..and drop it off at all the remax offices...
(you will get a part of the experienced realtors commission)

you will hear from one of them..
good luck..

Remax only hires proven performers and is 100% your own business, no phone time. Coldwell banker will give you phone time but most likely take 50% of your commissions. There are no salaries in the real estate business, commissions only. You may want to consider a few things,
1.Are you committed? This is a tough job, people think its easy and that we just make money hand over fist. Not true, there are a few that make great money, but remember 10% of the agents make 90% of the money. The rest are starving for business.

2. You may want to get on a team of a proven performer, but again you will be splitting your commission with them. Figure you will be giving 50% away as well. If you do join a Remax there are monthly desk fees to be paid. The team leader will most likely pay these for you. At Remax you get to keep 95% of you commission if you are on your own. Its great if your closing deals. If not that monthly fee will eat you up. I don’t know what area you are located, but Keller Williams may be a good place to start as well. Find an office that will give you phone time.

3. Don’t be afraid to ask other brokers for some business, like doing open houses for them to get some buyers. Also ask for buyers that they may not want to work with. I know I give buyers that are going to take months to find homes to others for a referral fee, I don’t have time to spend with them so I only work with ready to purchase now buyers.
It’s a tough game, but it can be very lucrative. Work hard and expect to work 50+ hours a week. If your thinking part time forget it, that boom passed 2 years ago when anyone could make money. It’s a full time job with no steady pay and no heath coverages.
Good luck
Agent, Remax

No paycheck...you will be 100% commission. You are an independent contract, therefore you technically set your own hours (however, I'm sure Remax and CB would prefer a full-time commitment from you). Most likely you will be working on your own, unless you join a team. As far as getting clients, you do this on your own. If you sit on floor duty, you'll get the incoming calls that come in.

Go with Remax... Coldwell is horrible! And stay away from Buy owner too... They do short of nothing to protect the buyer!
